I earned my Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Oberlin College and my Psychology Doctoral Degree from the University of South Florida. I subsequently completed my APA accredited predoctoral internship at the University of South Florida Counseling Center where I worked with college and graduate students dealing with the challenges of interpersonal conflict, mood disorders, anxiety/depression, identity development, trauma, eating disorders, and school transitions. I completed my postdoctoral training in a group specialty private practice specializing in eating disorders, anxiety, OCD, and trauma. Additionally, I have worked at the Veteran Affairs Health Care Center with individuals suffering from chronic pain, as well as at outpatient medical centers (including the Rothman Center for Pediatric Neuropsychiatry and the Silver Child Development Center) to provide behavioral family therapy and exposure therapy.
I have completed specialized training in EMDR, an evidence-based trauma therapy, through an EMDRIA-approved program which is the organization dedicated to the highest standards of excellence and integrity. Additionally, I have completed Level 1 + 2 training in the Gottman Method and work with couples who wish to enhance their relationship by learning skills to decrease conflict, increase their connection, and improve their communication with each other.
